The Diabetic Association Medical College, Faridpur started its journey on the 15th November 2009 and opened its doors to the students in the academic year 2009-2010.
This Medical College is Affiliated with University of Dhaka and Recognized by Bangladesh Medical & Dental Council (BM&DC) and Approved by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The Diabetic Association Medical College Hospital (DAMCH) is attached herewith as the teaching hospital which is a tertiary care Hospital established in the year 1985 and delivering clinical services in almost all departments of medical science.
The Diabetic Association Medical College and Hospital is located in a quiet and serene environment in the heart of Faridpur city at Mosjid Bari Sarok, Jheeltuly on 2.21 acres of land and covering an enormous area of about two and half lac square feet floor space with all modern amenities.
The library is fully air-conditioned with excellent collection of latest medical books, journals, magazines & newspapers which can provide up to date information to the users. The library can accommodate 150 users at a times in its well-furnished area. On an average more than 450 users use this library every day.
Foreign Student Admission
Course Offered : This Medical College offers a 5 year MBBS Course as approved by Bangladesh Medical & Dental Council (BM&DC) leading to MBBS degree of the University of Dhaka.
Eligibility: Higher Secondary Certificate (H.S.C) or equivalent degree from Science group with Biology. Eligibility will be determined by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Mohakhali, Dhaka, Bangladesh while equivalence certificate issued to the applicants.
Admission Fees : The fees (including admission fee, 5 year tuition fee and 5 year hostel seat rent) payable at the time of admission is US $ 35,000 (Thirty Five Thousand US Dollar only). Students will bear the cost of food of their own.

A Student has to bear the cost of food of his own. A Student also has to pay the University Examination fees to the University of Dhaka for each professional examinations and the Study Tour fee at the 3rd year of MBBS course.
If a student fail to complete the MBBS course within 5 (five) years, then he has to pay tuition & accommodation fees monthly at the rate of that time up to completion of the course. There is absolutely no other additional or hidden cost.
Payment information: Admission fee or Installments to be paid by Bank Draft/Pay Order or swift transfer in favour of “Diabetic Association Medical College, Faridpur”, Bank Account No: 1591220044233, Eastern Bank Limited, Faridpur Branch, Faridpur, Bangladesh, SWIFT Code- EBLDBDDH. In case of swift transfer receive copy (Deposit received memo) must be attached with application form during admission.
Students need to submit the following papers for processing of admission
- Eligibility certificate from Medical Council.
- Certified copy (English Translated) of the marks/grade sheet of the qualifying examination.
- Certified copy of the grade equivalence to marks by Boards/School.
- Copy of Passport.
- Proof of NRI status of the student/parents/sponsor.
- Nationality Certificate.
- Passport size photographs (recent).
Additional papers to be submitted during admission:
- All Academic Certificates and Mark Sheets.
- Equivalence & Eligibility certificates from the Director General of Health Services (DGHS), Government of the People’s Republic Bangladesh.
- Copy of Passport with VISA.
- NOC / Release Letter.
