MBBS in India, Almost everyone is interested in that, but less seats and more number of Medical Aspirants has made it rare to get admission in India.If we talk about numbers almost 62000 to 64000 seats are available for 2016 session and for these seats almost 9 Lakh to 10 Lakh students has appeared in various Medical Entrance Exams (AIPMT/NEET-UG/State Exams/University Specific Exams). Facts and figures mentioned above are good enough to justify the difference between demand and supply.

Option 2 – if you do not want to go abroad, get admission in BAMS/BHMS/BDS

- MCI Screening Test factor – as per the new rules (published in all leading news paper, but official confirmation is pending), all medical graduates (those who have completed MBBS in India or Foreign Universities), will have to appear for NEET-PG (will be on the pattern of FMGE [foreign medical graduate examination]/MCI Screening Test conducted by NBE). This was one of the biggest threat for many parents, but now all medical graduates will be on equal level so no worries about MCI Screening Test, now it is almost a part of medical education and licensing process.
- Know about MCI Screening Test – many of the students and parents are not aware about MCI Screening Test and process related to the results, so they feels it is very tough and could not be cleared in years. Such things are only rumours and miscommunication by various people including various coaching institutes.
- MCI Screening Test/FMGE is conducted by NBE twice in a year, candidates need to score only 50% from 2 papers and there is no competition, no merit no ranks, everyone who gets above 50% will get licence to practice in India. But yes, it is an exam same as other exams so it is bound to be tough, because this exam is based on what you have studied in your MBBS/MD will be covered in 1 exam only. This process is mandatory for most of the developed countries, for India it is also expected to be compulsory (NEET-PG), as per all leading news papers from December 2016 or early 2017 NEET-PG will be compulsory for all medical graduates (for Indian Medical Graduates and Foreign Medical Graduates Both).
