Anna Medical College is a college in Mauritius, It is currently affiliated with University of Technology, Mauritius.They are located in Solitude, North of the Island and Anna Medical College offers MBBS program with clinical postings at Flacq teaching Hospital in Mauritius . The teaching hospital at Flacq is a multi-specialty infrastructure for Clinical training. AMC house state of the art classrooms with smart boards for classroom teaching, modern laboratories with individual microscopes and other facilities for each student, Administrative Section with space for Dean Office and allied departments, Library with more than 7000 medical books, large reading hall, e-library and modern multimedia centres, Canteen and Mess facility and a huge green area with car parking and seating for students.

The teaching hospital, Flacq Hospital is situated in the East of Mauritius at Centre de Flacq in the district of Flacq. It provides services for the Health Region 3 for a population of 170,000 inhabitants covering essentially the district of Flacq through 24 Community Health Centres, 4 Area Health Centres and a medi-clinic.

AMC is also a cultural hub of activity as students from many different countries converge to take advantage of the exceptional faculty, holistic curriculum and innovative teaching methods. AMC draw students mainly from India, Maldives, Malaysia, Singapore, Middle East, Kenya, Nigeria, Benin, Namibia, Egypt, Australia, New Zealand, United States, Canada, United Kingdom and South Africa and various SADC Countries thereby providing the student community a rich multi- cultural exposure.

The hostels of AMC are exceptionally comfortable with fully furnished rooms and amenities like mess, 24-hour security, maintenance, power, water supply and several other add-ons. Students also have an option to choose between Continental and Indian food at the hostel canteen.

It is mandatory that all students reside in one of the AMC hostels for their first two semesters unless given exceptional permission at the institution’s sole discretion. Hostel availability is on a first deposit – first served basis; hence, students should apply promptly when the application process commences. The Hostels are located in close proximity to the AMC campus. For all hostel students, transport will be organized to the college.

AMC is listed in the directories of World Health Organization (WHO), and listed with Medical council of INDIA(MCI) and South African Qualification Authority (SAQA) and is under the process of getting listed with Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research (FAIMER) , Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates ECFMG, Global Alliance for Medical Education (GAME) which chronicle the accredited medical schools of the world. These listings allow our graduates to be eligible to write various national examinations such as the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE), the Licentiate of the Medical College of Canada (LMCC), and the Diploma of Membership of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom (MRCP).
