The Magna Græcia University of Catanzaro is a university located in Catanzaro, Italy. It was founded in 1998 and is organized in three faculties.
The “Salvatore Venuta” Campus of the Magna Græcia University is located just outside Catanzaro, a few kilometers from the city center, in the Germaneto area, on an area of over 170 hectares, in the Corace river valley. Here the current needs of research and the right to study find the spaces for their realization: here there are the best possibilities to study, to design, to experiment; there are facilities that are functional to the needs of the academic community, teachers and students.
The Germaneto site has been active since 2004 and is still being completed to meet all the needs that are suitable for a University Campus: spaces to host student services, sports facilities, university residences to accommodate students and teachers.
The University, in fact, provides IT, linguistic and medical-scientific laboratories, libraries with tutoring services, multimedia classrooms for access to the Internet and a virtual bulletin board to book exams directly from home. Moreover, the Magna Graecia University makes available many other services for students who want to better enjoy their training experience in the Catanzaro University.
Part-time work opportunities for financial support during the studies; scholarships agreed for stays abroad, as part of the Leonardo, Socrates and Erasmus projects, which will improve their cultural background.
Inside the Campus (Clinical Building C level 1) there is a university canteen which covers an area of about 1,500 square meters allowing a capacity of about 250 people.
In addition to some vending machines for hot and cold drinks, snacks, sweets and savories located throughout the Campus, there are also three bars / hot tables: at level 3 of the Clinical Building, at level -1 of the Preclinical Building – Body G, adjacent to the Offices of the Student Offices and at level 0 of the Building of the Juridical-Economic Area.
